KUALA LUMPUR: American Pat Perez (pix) has
won the CIMB Classic for his career third US PGA Tour title.
The 41-year-old shot a final round 69 for 24-under 264 total to win by
four strokes from compatriot Keegan Bradley at the TPC Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
He pocketed US$1.26mil (RM5.23mil) for his effort.
PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Xander Schaufelle could only manage a 72 to
share third with South Korea's Kang Sung-hoon (71) on 271.
Gavin Kyle Green emerged the best Malaysian finisher in the 78-man field
event in joint 61st spot. He closed with a 75 for 288 overall. Danny Chia was a stroke behind in tied 63rd while Nicholas Fung finished
76th on a dismal 11-over 299.
