IPOH: Bukit Merah Laketown Resort has reopened after being given the go-ahead by the authorities.

This comes after tests were done on water samples taken from the water theme park and results returned negative for rotavirus.
A spokesman from the resort management said the test results were returned on Oct 5 after the Health Ministry took water samples on Sept 29 and 30.
“The samples were taken from seven sites at the resort.
"The results show that the resort is free of potential disease outbreaks, making it safe to visit again.
“We have given our full cooperation to the Health Ministry and the Perak Health Department.
“We have also carried out cleanup and maintenance work at the resort and this includes draining the pools, refilling them with fresh water and improving the filtration and pump system,” he said in a statement.
The theme park was closed for 14 days following a number of rotavirus and acute gastroenteritis (AGE) cases late last month.
