KTM Intercity Enforces New Schedule For East Coast Sector

KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- KTM Intercity services for the East Coast sector has been rescheduled, following a directive by the Land Public Transport Commission.

In a statement, KTM Berhad said its train services would operate from 9pm to 9am, and not 9am to 9pm, to make way for inspection and track maintenance.
It said two of the 12 train services operating in the East Coast had been cancelled.

"Passengers who have bought tickets for the cancelled service can exchange it or get a refund at KTM Intercity ticket counters," he said.

Following the rescheduling, train services in the East Coast sector, and Express Senandung Timuran (Train 26) from Woodlands to Tumpat will depart at 8pm and arrive at noon. Expess Senandung Timuran (Train 27) from Tumpat to Woodlands will depart 8pm and arrive at 12.30pm.

Express Senandung Wau (Train 28) from KL Sentral to Tumpat will depart at 8.30pm and arrive at 10.30am, while it leaves at 6pm and arrive at 8am from Tumpat to KL Sentral.

The Sinaran Timur Shuttle (Train 91) from Gemas to Woodlands will leave at 6pm and arrive at midnight while the service from Woodlands to Gemas will leave at 6am and arrive at 10.47am.

The Keretapi Tempatan Shuttle (Train 81) from Tumpat to Gua Musang will depart at 4am and arrive at 9.36am. The Keretapi Tempatan Shuttle (Train 84) from Gua Musang to Tumpat will leave at 1.30pm and arrive at 7pm, or leave at 9.14am and arrive at 2.30pm.
