RapidKL Offers Bus Services for World Superbike Race in Sepang

KUALA LUMPUR, 4 June 2014 - Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd, operator of RapidKL bus services, will be providing bus shuttle services between Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and the city for the upcoming World Superbike Championship (WSBK) race at the circuit this weekend.

In announcing this, Rapid Bus Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Ir. Zohari Sulaiman said the bus services would also cover travel between SIC and KLIA2 – the new airport for low cost carriers.

“We are proud to be working again for SIC for the 2014 World Superbike Championship Malaysian Round, which will be held at the circuit this weekend from June 6 to 8.

“As we had done for Formula 1 and MotoGP, the pick-up and drop-off points at the city will be at KL Sentral and KLCC. Frequency will be between 30 to 45 minutes with the first bus departing at 8am in the city for all three days,” Zohari said, adding that the last bus departing from the city would be at 11am.

Hosting Round 6 of a 14-leg World Superbike Championship this season, SIC is the only race venue in Asia and is expecting a strong turnout of fans from the region with KLIA2 as their entry point.

For KLIA2, the first bus to depart to SIC would also be at 8am and using the same frequency between 30 to 45 minutes. The last bus to depart from new airport would be at 11am for all three days.

While the pick-up point at KLIA2 would be at the Bus Parking Bay on the Ground Floor, the pick-up points for KLCC and KL Sentral will be at the same locations at Jalan Ampang bus hub for KLCC and near the entrance of ERL Departure area at Level 1 for KL Sentral.

Bus fare from the city would be at RM30 for a return trip and RM18 per way. For KLIA2, the bus fare would be RM10 per way.
