ANKARA, Dec 10 -- The Malaysian embassy in Turkey on Monday hosted an event to introduce the 2020 events to promote country’s tourism, trade and business, Anadolu Agency reported.
Speaking at the Essence of Malaysia event, Charge D’affaires Arhan Syafrisyah Shah Anuar highlighted three points to be promoted by Malaysia in the upcoming year.
He noted that Embassy “will go all out to promote” the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign through all-year-round events.
Anuar called on Turkish investors and business people to participate at the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS), which will convene on March 25-28, 2020 in the capital Kuala Lumpur.
He also highlighted the “growing bilateral trade” between Ankara and Kuala Lumpur thanks to the signing and implementation of a free trade agreement in August 2015.
“Being a major player in the Halal Industry, MIHAS offers various platforms and opportunities such as international sourcing programme and value added programme that includes breakfast networking sessions and industry zones,” Anuar said.
“We are thinking big. This year’s motto is Expand Your Halal Horizon,” he went on to say.
He also expressed his gratitude to Turkey for its “continuous support for Malaysia’s palm oil and its products.”
“Our campaign revolves around five essential pillars – love my food, love my health, love my people, love my country and love my planet,” he added.
