KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 20 -- Tourism Malaysia, in
collaboration with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRT Corporation, has unveiled the
KL Heritage Food Trails and MyCity Pass as among the initiatives to boost
tourist arrivals for Visit Malaysia 2020 (VM2020)
Tourism Malaysia director-general Datuk Musa Yusof said the KL Heritage Food Trails offers a walking tour that allows tourists to explore Kuala Lumpur on foot with the help of a tour guide with extensive knowledge on local areas.
“Along the way, the guide will navigate tourists to the heritage sites and landmarks like our Central Market, Sri Kandaswamy Temple and Rumah Limas, to name a few.
“Meanwhile, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd also offering MyCity Pass which targets non-regular commuters, specifically tourists to enjoy unlimited rides on Prasarana’s integrated rail and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network within a short travelling period,” he said when launching the KL Heritage Food Trails and MyCity Pass here today.
The MyCity pass promotion will commence on Dec 25 until 31 next year, offering RM10 for one day unlimited travel and RM25 for three days, while the first time buyers will need to pay an additional RM5 for the card cost and minimum store value of RM5.
Musa said with MyCity pass, tourist will now have greater access to Klang Valley and Selangor that allow them to travel seamlessly as it covers major railways.
He said the pass is a great complement to KL Heritage Food Trails package as it features three major tourist hotspots in Kuala Lumpur namely Kampung Baru, Petaling Street and Brickfields to highlight the best of our heritage and food culture.
“The KL Heritage Food Trails and MyCity Pass will enhance Malaysia’s tourism experiences and services as travelling on integrated rail and BRT network will facilitate the travellers to discover places of interest, local cuisines and shopping malls in the most convenient way.
