composer Joe Hisaishi has composed over a hundred film scores
including famous collaborations with Studio Ghibli films directed by
Hayao Miyazaki. The soundtracks from movies such as
Spirited Away, My Neighbour Totoro and other orchestral works
written for Japanese television are an amazing fusion of
Japanese classical, Western classical, minimalist and electronic
styles.
