Tourism Malaysia To Further Enhance Cooperation With Media

PORT DICKSON, July 2 (Bernama) -- Tourism Malaysia will further enhance cooperation with the local media in efforts to promote tourism products that are available in every state.

Tourism Malaysia Communication and Publicity Division director Datuk Mohmed Razip Hasan said one of the ways was to increase media trip porgrammes to potential domestic tourism products.

"We are always working closely with the media because the media's role is important to introduce local tourism products.

"We provide an opportunity to our friends in the media to experience and interact with the locals and tourism operators and we hope through their writings and reports, many tourists will be attracted to come to these tourism destinations," he told reporters after the breaking-of-fast with the tourism industry stakeholders, organised by Negeri Sembilan Tourism Malaysia here today.

Hence he urged the state government to work closely with Tourism Malaysia in every state to have more media trip programmes to potential domestic tourism products.
