HBR Media To Promote Malaysia In North Asia Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) - Integrated communications and advertising company HBR Media Asia Group has been appointed by Tourism Malaysia to strategise and implement advertising activities for Eastern Russia, South Korea and Japan from 2015 to 2017.

In a statement, HBR Media's Chief Executive Officer Khairil Ahmal Hanafi said the company has noted a steady rise in tourist arrivals from the North Asia market over the past few years and is excited to help usher in more people to the country especially with the Malaysia Year of Festivals 2015 kicking off soon.

"Eastern Russia is a new market entity that was carved out from the Europe sector and is now grouped together under North Asia due to its proximity and cultural similarities to the region," he said.

The number of tourists from South Korea to Malaysia for the first seven months of this year increased by over 36 per cent from the corresponding period last year, while Japanese tourist arrivals rose by over nine per cent over the same period.
