MELAKA, Aug 13 (Bernama) -- More than 1.6 million people visited 22 museums and five galleries in the state between 2008 and Aug 9 this year, said Melaka Museums Corporation general manager Khamis Abas. He gave the breakdown as 579,670 visitors in 2008, 677,875 in 2009 and 390,247 from January till Aug 9 this year. "The highest numbers came during school holidays especially in December, " he told Bernama here Friday. He added that the oceanic museum was the most popular.
