DOUBLETREE by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur opened yesterday, paving the way for the brand’s presence in South-east Asia. The 540-room hotel features five F&B outlets and 1,858m2 of meeting facilities, including a pillarless ballroom that can accommodate 1,200 people in theatre-style. Rob Palleschi, global head of Doubletree Hotels from Hilton Worldwide, said the brand was looking at a combination of owning and managing more properties in South-east Asia, particularly in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bangkok, Manila and Samui.
