Selangor, 1 November 2026 – The official launch of Diwali Dhamaka
Fest 2026 took place at Jaya Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya, marking a vibrant
celebration of North Indian culture, traditions and festive spirit. The
ceremony was officiated by YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo.
The ceremony was attended by the Director General of Tourism
Malaysia, Mr. Mohd Amirul Rizal Abdul Rahim, alongside the Head of Secretariat
Visit Malaysia 2026-2027 & Deputy Director General (Promotion), Tourism
Malaysia, Mr. Mohd Akbal Setia.
Held from 30 October to 1 November 2026, Diwali Dhamaka Fest 2026
brings together an exciting showcase of North Indian culture through festive
shopping, traditional cuisine, cultural performances and live entertainment.
Visitors were treated to energetic Bhangra and Punjabi Giddha performances,
Bollywood music and a variety of festive activities.
The festival serves as a platform to celebrate Malaysia's rich
cultural diversity while promoting cultural appreciation, community engagement
and the country's unique multicultural heritage as a key attraction for both
domestic and international visitors.
