The global pandemic has confronted the tourism sector with an unprecedented challenge. With tourism being the third largest contributor to Malaysia’s gross domestic product, the impact of the virus has been far-reaching and continues to ripple throughout the economy as more and more hotels can’t help but shutter.
Recently, Malaysia has resumed domestic travel via a travel bubble involving Langkawi on September 16, reopened more tourist destinations to local travellers and lifted its inter-state travel ban once at least 90 per cent of its adult population are vaccinated against Covid-19. However, some of the local travellers still doubt the safety of travel domestically.
Cuti-Cuti Malaysia with Confidence (CMC) Virtual Conference and Exhibition - Experience Malaysia Under the New Travel Normal is an event that initiative by a group of tourism and event students from BERJAYA University College (BUC) in collaboration with Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Malaysia Chapter (PMC) with the core objective of restoring and boosting confidence of Malaysians to travel domestically.
The CMC Virtual Conference and Exhibition to be scheduled on 27-28 November 2021 (Saturday and Sunday), 1100 hours – 1800 hours at 3D virtual platform.
