1 JANUARY 2021 – Ministry of
Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) through its agency Tourism Malaysia launches
its Cuti-Cuti Malaysia “Santai di Zoo” Stimulus
Campaign to entice Malaysians to visit local zoos nearby. One of the campaigns
under Tourism Malaysia’s Stimulus Recovery Plan (PRE), this campaign is a
collaboration with Zoo Negara, Zoo Melaka dan Zoo Taiping & Night Safari,
offering attractive discounts for entrance fees. Starting today until 31 March
2021, the campaign is one of the government’s initiatives to revitalise the country's
economy through the involvement of tourism industry players.
Zoo Negara - #Chill @ Zoo Negara
Zoo Negara is offering 40%
discount off of its entrance fees for both adults and
children. Over 16,000 tickets are offered starting January 1, 2021 through
online purchase via the e-commerce platform Shopee. Among the other programmes
offered by Zoo Negara include Zoo Walk 2021, KeeperKu; a volunteer program, Cikgu
Kancil package for school tours which includes 13 educational
programs, Zoo Camp; a leisure night-in at the zoo, Zoo Hunt, Earth Day,
Orangutan Awareness Day, World Children's Day Carnival, fishing activities,
family day packages, birthday packages and many more. For more information,

Zoo Melaka – Jom-Jom Zoo Melaka
A 30% discount is
cut off from Zoo Melaka’s entrance fees for both adults and children. The offer
stands for over 20,000 visitors starting January 1, 2021 through online
purchase via its website www.zoomelaka.gov.my.
New attractions at Zoo Melaka include Dinosaur Encounter & Animal
Interaction and Flying Monkey (the first zipline in a zoo). Zoo Melaka also
offers various educational programmes such as Zoolunteer, Zoo Troopers and
Zoomanji.
Zoo Taiping & Night Safari – Night Safari, Taiping
Weekday Special
Over 30,000 visitors to Night Safari, Taiping
will enjoy a 30% discount on
its entrance fee for both adults & children starting January 1, 2021.
Purchases can be made through the ticket counter at Zoo Taiping & Night
Safari (ZTNS) and are valid for use on weekdays only. Visitors to ZTNS also
have the opportunity to purchase other packages offered such as Edu-Fun &
Learn 1 Package and Special Zoo Ranger Tours, a special community service package.
Among the ‘newcomers’ that can be seen at Zoo Taiping include green peafowl,
nyala, pink-necked green pigeon, common emerald dove, Egyptian goose, and many
more. ZTNS will also be showcasing animals such as hyena, eland, impala, and
yellow-headed water monitor lizard.
Exclusive Offers
This special offer is subject to
first-come-first-serve basis. Through this campaign, the total number of
tickets offered are over 70,000 tickets. Tourism Malaysia calls on all
Malaysians to seize this opportunity and encourage Malaysians to spend time
with their families by enjoying the uniqueness of wildlife as well as exploring
the beauty of zoos in Malaysia. It is hoped that this campaign will also be
able to cultivate the interest, awareness and love for the nature among Malaysians.
