Power Rangers Live in Genting 2016 is based on the two Power Rangers television series, the popular Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Dino Charge. The stage performance focuses on the battles between the Power Rangers and Sledge's army for the former's magical Energems that hold invincible powers. 

The Power Rangers, the five warriors chosen by the Energems to protect Earth and to prevent it from falling into evil hands, find themselves repeatedly engaged in battle with Fury, Poisandra and their sidekicks. 

But one of the Power Rangers, Pink, is captured by the villains—along with an Energem. The fate of the world then lies in the hands of the rest of the Power Rangers—they have to free Pink and regain the Energem.
