JOHOR BARU: The Visit Johor 2020 programme is set to receive a major boost as it will be the main focus at the upcoming Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Travel Fair next month.
MATTA president Datuk Tan Kok Liang said they would be doing more promotions and marketing to introduce the various attractions the state has to offer to local travellers during the three-day fair at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur from Sept 6 to 8.
“We will do the promotions in a big way and through social media. We want to invite Johor tourism industry players to work with us and create more interesting packages, ” he said after witnessing the opening ceremony of Johor MATTA Travel Fair.
Also present was Tourism Malaysia southern region director Solehuddin Ahmad who represented state tourism, women development, family and community committee chairman Liow Cai Tung.
Johor MATTA Travel Fair is expected to attract 13, 000 visitors with a turnover sale of RM10mil.
