FLORIA Putrajaya 2014 @ Putrajaya Precinct 4, Malaysia ( 14~22 June 2014 )


KUALA LUMPUR,  April 2014: Malaysia’s much awaited flower and garden festival is set to greet you once again, this time with even more excitement at their new home in Precinct 4, Putrajaya.   Themed ‘Mesmerizing Colours’, a feast of colours and flora await you at this annual Flower and Garden Festival.  

FLORIA Putrajaya 2014 promises an exhibition of Begonias of various species that are native to moist subtropical and tropical climates in specially designed gardens and exhibits from 14th until 22nd June 2014.


International participants are a big draw at FLORIA with more of them making an appearance each subsequent year.  This year, being the 7th time this international flower and garden show is being hosted, more than 35 international participants featuring landscape architects and designers from Australia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, United States of America, United Kingdom, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and New Zealand among others, are expected. 

Indoor and outdoor garden displays give visitors an insight into the creativity and expertise of local and international landscape designers via more than 80 outdoor garden displays by government agencies, corporate bodies, private sector, associations, growers, universities as well as secondary and primary schools.

Some of the main highlights at FLORIA Putrajaya 2014 are the Wedding Gardens, Urban Gardens, Designer Gardens, Fantasy Gardens, Futuristic Gardens, Begonia Garden, Royal Garden, Tea Party Garden, Innovation Garden and Indoor Pavilion.

Another popular attraction is the Garden Bazaar and Hort Mart which is a horticultural market that sells everything a gardener will need, from flowering plants to trees, garden furniture, garden equipment, biotech products and landscaping services.

More than 200 daily activities are held throughout the nine-day FLORIA Putrajaya that include floral arrangement demonstrations, gardening workshops, entertainment, photography competition, watercolour competition as well as arts and crafts. 

A sure attraction this time is FLORIA Flavours, offering authentic cuisine from various states in Malaysia under one roof that will provide an amazing experience for your taste buds.  Enjoy your favourite dishes from other states like Malacca, Johor, Perak, Penang, Terangganu while you take in scens of glorious flower beds in mesmerizing colours.

A new attraction at FLORIA this time is the FLORIA Arts & Crafts, an exhibition coordinated by Perbadanan Kraftangan Selangor with more than 90 retail lots offering arts and crafts inspired by plants, landscape and nature with daily art and craft activities held at designated times at their pavilion.

The Schools and University Gardens Competition is an attraction not to be missed at FLORIA Putrajaya.  Once again, budding talents from 20 Secondary and 20 Primary Schools will impart their own design and implementation opportunities in “hands-on” creative garden building works under close supervision of their respective teachers in the School Gardens Competition.   In the University Gardens Competition this year,  a total of 20 gardens will be vying for top honours.

Now an annual event, FLORIA Putrajaya is always eagerly awaited by the public because of the uniqueness and beauty of the flora on display in attractively designed landscaped gardens , coupled with sparkling lights at night. 

Promising a spectacular display at the Promenade in Precinct 4FLORIA Putrajaya is open to the public from 9am to 10.30pm (Monday toThursday) and from 9am to 12 midnight (Friday to Sunday).
