Selangor Unveils Five Exclusive Tourism Packages For The European Market

 


BERLIN, 11 MARCH 2025: The State of Selangor, Malaysia, proudly launched five exclusive tourism packages tailored for the European market during the ITB Berlin 2025. The unveiling, held at the Selangor Pavilion under the Tourism Malaysia umbrella, marks a significant milestone in promoting Selangor as a top-tier global destination. This initiative is made possible through a strategic collaboration with Dusky Leaf Adventures, a renowned tour operator specialising in authentic and immersive travel experiences. 

The launch coincides with Selangor’s official campaign for Visit Selangor Year 2025, titled “Surprising Selangor”, aimed at attracting more international visitors by showcasing the state’s diverse attractions, from breathtaking natural wonders to rich cultural heritage and vibrant urban landscapes. The initiative reinforces Selangor’s commitment to enhancing its global presence and fostering meaningful connections with European travel industry players. 

The newly launched “Selangor – Surprisingly Unique Experiences” tourism packages offer European travelers an unparalleled opportunity to engage with Selangor’s traditions, adventure tourism and eco-tourism gems; which are Authentically Unique Banting, Malaysian Cooking Class in Cheras Selangor, Enchanting Kuala Selangor, Scenic Sabak Bernam and Kampung Life of Hulu Langat. 

Chua Yee Ling, the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor in a statement said, Selangor has welcomed 139,131 European tourists as of September 2024. With the launch of these specialised packages, the target is to increase European arrivals by 20% in 2025. Our collaboration with Dusky Leaf Adventures reflects our dedication to providing high-quality, immersive experiences tailored to the European market. We believe these five tourism packages will showcase Selangor’s unique offerings and strengthen our appeal to European travellers. 

Selangor’s delegation at ITB Berlin 2025 includes key tourism stakeholders, travel agencies and hospitality partners that actively engage with over 300 potential buyers and travel agencies. Through strategic meetings, business-to-business (B2B) sessions and networking events, Selangor aims to solidify its position as a must-visit destination.
