KOTA KINABALU: A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on joint tourism marketing and promotion efforts has been inked between Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and Royal Brunei Airlines (RBA) in London on Monday (Nov 4).
STB general manager Noredah Othman represented the board, while RBA country manager for the UK and Ireland, Adiel Mambara, signed on behalf of the carrier during the ongoing World Travel Market 2019 held at the Malaysia Pavilion at ExCel London.
In a statement issued here, Sabah Deputy Chief Minister cum State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Christina Liew said the document signed would pave the way towards cooperation beneficial to both parties.
"We seek to strengthen the friendly relationship between STB and RBA.
“We have a desire to enhance cooperation in marketing and promotion," said Liew who witnessed the signing ceremony.
Liew led an eight-member Sabah delegation to the World Travel Market in London.
The team included STB Chairman Ken Pan Ying On and STB Director Datuk Alex Decena.
