Starsky restaurant and lounge - new attraction at Alor Setar Tower

ALOR SETAR, Feb 2 (Bernama) -- There’s new attraction in town – a revolving restaurant at Alor Setar Tower – offering the public an opportunity to savour  their food while enjoying the panoramic 360 degree view of Kedah’s capital and its surroundings at a height of 94 metres.

The restaurant opens today with Kumpulan Segi Seri, a food catering company, providing a wide array of delectable dishes on its menu.

Menara Kuala Lumpur CEO, Datuk Rozlan Mohamed said he hoped the restaurant would be able to bring in more visitors to Menara Alor Setar, which had seen a drop in the last two years.

Menara Kuala Lumpur is responsible for managing Menara Alor Setar.

"Last year, the Alor Setar Tower received a total of 97,000 visitors  and we are targeting more visitors this year. They will also get to have an amazing view of Alor Setar while enjoying the sumptuous dishes at the restaurant and lounge," he told reporters after its official opening here, today.

The restaurant  was opened by Kedah Information, Communications and Multimedia Committee and Non-Governmental Organisation Committee chairman, Mohd Firdaus Ahmad and  attended by more than 100 guests.

Rozlan said the restaurant offered dishes at reasonable prices and the visit to Menara Alor Setar would provide a valuable experience for visitors.

Meanwhile, Azhar Baharin, the group managing director of Kumpulan Segi Seri, said the company was committed to making the restaurant a success and a business hub because of its strategic location and surrounding attractions.
