KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 15 (Bernama) -- Malaysian motorsports promoter Sepang International Circuit Sdn Bhd (SIC) today named Ramdan Rosli as the second Malaysian wild card rider for the upcoming Shell Advance Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The 18-year-old Ramdan, who is currently competing in the FIM CEV Repsol Championship Moto3 category, will join Hafiza Rofa when the race gets underway at Sepang Circuit from Oct 24 to 26.

"Hafiza was revealed as our first wildcard at the official launch recently. In the latest entry list I received from IRTA of riders participating in the Malaysian GP, Ramdan has been named as another wildcard. "He is young and talented and this experience will serve him well in the future," said SIC chief executive officer Datuk Razlan Razali in a statement.

With Ramdan's inclusion, it will be the first time four Malaysians will be competing in the Moto3 category at the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The Team Petronas AHM Malaysia rider will be lining up on the grid in the Moto3 category alongside Hafiza, Muhammad Zulfahmi Khairuddin (Ongetta Airasia) and Amirul Hafiq Azmi (Team SIC-Ajo). Their appearance will further amplify the excitement level of local racing fans as there will be six Malaysian riders battling for glory next month.

Two other Malaysian riders -- Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah (Team Petronas Raceline Malaysia) and Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) -- will be competing in the Moto2 category.
