29 JUNE 2020: Tourism Malaysia is proud to host a virtual
Malaysian experience in conjunction with the Dream to Travel Festival organised
by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) from 22 June until 17 July 2020.
Malaysia is one of the four countries that have been
nominated by the PATA secretariat to host the virtual event along with
Thailand, Nepal and Macao. Each country will have its own segment for a week to
showcase its tourism products and destinations, and will be spearheaded by the
respective National Tourism Organisations (NTOs).
Tourism Malaysia has scheduled a fascinating line up of
activities to bring the ultimate virtual Malaysian experience. Malaysia will be
featured on the second week from 29 June until 3 July 2020. The programme
schedule covers six components namely the Forum, Digital
Showroom Platform, Live Experience of
a cooking demonstration on Malaysian cuisine, Live Storytelling on
Underwater Freedive Experience and Dark Tourism in Malaysia, Promotional
Videos and Games & Giveaways.
A number of 50 industry players, comprising 26 product
owners, 10 hotels and 14 travel agents from states across Malaysia will
participate in this programme where they will showcase their products and
services during the Digital Showroom session. Viewers can anticipate great
deals such as the 2D1N educational package for Sabah Tea Adventure, Fireflies
Excursion at Sunset and Brunch & Brew offer which allows tourists a
hands-on experience to savour local flavours. During the Digital Showroom
session, Tourism Malaysia will feature brochures on Malaysia’s best: Culinary
Delights, National Marine Parks, Dive in Paradise, Exotic Ethnic Heritage and
Malaysia Travel Guide among others. The packages on offer range from five main
tourism niches which are Adventure, Diving, Food Trail, Heritage as well as
Islands & Beaches.

wins’ in our recovery efforts for the tourism industry, we are honoured to be
given the opportunity to put the spotlight on Malaysia in this timely virtual
collaboration with PATA,” commented Datuk Musa Yusof, the Director General of
Tourism Malaysia, who will be participating in the programme.
As it is an online festival, it provides an avenue that
