MERSING, May 17 (Bernama) -- The Johor National Parks Corporation has set a target of 10,000 visitors for the Endau-Rompin National Park by year end. Its director, Abu Bakar Mohamed Salleh, said it believed that the target was achievable as about 3,000 people had visited the park between January and April. "We believe that tourist arrivals at the park will increase between June and September in conjunction with the school holidays and winter in Europe," he told reporters at a briefing at the Johor Press Club Expedition here Sunday. He said over 6,000 visitors came to the park every year, and 45 per cent of them were from Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Europe. He said the park was also planning to open new attractions, namely Gunung Pertawai, Padang Temambun and Kuala Kinchin which were endowed with the unique flora and fauna.
