PETALING JAYA: AirAsia X will be increasing its flight frequencies to Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Perth in Australia and Taipei between Dec 1 and Jan 31 to meet the demand of travellers during the peak holiday season. Its chief executive officer Azran Osman-Rani said the decision was timely because of the high demand for its popular routes.
“Guests who are looking forward to visiting Australia during its summer season and Taipei during Chinese New Year have more flexibility in choosing their flight times and dates with more flights during the peak period,” he said. The airline will increase flight frequencies to Melbourne from 10 flights per week to 12, Gold Coast (from five flights to six per week), Perth (from 7 flights to 10 per week) and Taipei (from 7 flights to 11 per week) during the period. “The extra capacity will offer additional flight options for guests aiming to book our Fly-thru services to selected popular destinations from Europe, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Indochina.
“It will also provide improved connections to Japan and South Korea for the beginning of the ski season and to India when the weather is cooler,” added Azran. For more details, visit www.airasia.com.
