The AirAsia Premium Red Lounge, which is located at the mezzanine level of the international departure hall at KLIA2, will be complimentary for passengers who opt for premium flatbed or premium flex seats.
It will also be available for all other passengers at RM79 per person.
The lounge will open its doors to passengers from Friday.
During its launch at KLIA2 Thursday, AirAsia Bhd executive chairman Datuk Kamarudin Meranun said it is one of the world’s first low-cost carrier airport lounges.
Kamarudin and AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail jointly unveiled the facility along with Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali.
“The lounge can accommodate up to 110 guests at any one time, and we look forward to serving all of the guests who will experience this when we open tomorrow,” said Kamarudin.
