Airlines Berhad (MAB) is pleased to announce the enhancement of its partnership
with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and the national team, Harimau
Malaya as the main sponsor for the next three years until December 2026.
This strategic move aligns with MAB’s commitment to nation building and
sports excellence, with the aim to elevate local sports to the global stage.
The partnership unites two national icons, Malaysia Airlines and FAM, with the
shared goal of leveraging their expertise and capabilities to enhance the
growth of the sports industry.
As the Official Main Partner and Official Airline Partner for the
National Teams and FAM, Malaysia Airlines is dedicated to enhancing brand
visibility, fostering customer loyalty through partnership activations, and
supporting national sports. Additionally, Malaysia Airlines will provide
ongoing support for grassroots football development, promoting local talent on
the international stage, and nurturing national pride.
Both parties recently inked the partnership extension at a closed-door
event in KLIA, cementing another term of close collaboration. Signing on behalf
of MAB was the Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines, Dersenish Aresandiran,
witnessed by Chief Executive Officer of Airlines, Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi; and
from FAM was General Secretary, Datuk Noor Azman Hj Rahman, witnessed by
President, Datuk Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin.
Speaking at the event, Ahmad Luqman said, “As the
national flag carrier, we take pride in maintaining our services to the
national football squad and providing continuous support to FAM through our
ongoing sponsorship, now in its sixth consecutive year. We are excited to
extend this cooperation for another three years, as part of our strategic
vision to elevate Malaysian sports to new heights. The airline is dedicated to
elevating Malaysian football to the global platform, showcasing the nation's
sporting talents while flying the flag high.”
Datuk Haji Hamidin expressed his gratitude to
MAB for the support provided since 2019. “The collaboration between FAM and
MAB not only reflects loyalty but also demonstrates MAB's dedication and
commitment to the national football arena. It also delivers an important
message to supporters of the national squad that FAM can not only provide added
value to its sponsors but also have a positive impact on the national economic
sector. I believe that with MAB as the main sponsor of FAM and the national
