New angle to revamped store

THE Royal Selangor store at Suria KLCC is the latest to receive the 126-year-old pewter brand’s new retail identity. Fusing traditional and modern elements, the design of the store draws inspiration from the source of pewter – the tin mines. With the use of different materials, textures mixed with neutral colour tones, the new store has a calm ambience.

A special highlight of the store is the angular shaped wall resembling an oversized rock of tin ore. The doors to the store and cashier counter feature an intricate mengkuang weave motif. The creative use of the geometric pattern reflects a rich heritage.

Commenting on the store revamp, Royal Selangor Marketing general manager Chen Tien Yue said, “We love how our new stores look and we believe our loyal Suria KLCC customers will too. We now have a tighter range of designs in this store which should make it easier for our customers to find that perfect gift.”

Comyns, a 350-year-old sterling silver brand under the Royal Selangor Group of Companies, is also located in the store. The Comyns section displays a variety of sterling silver decorative tableware, interpretative works and also personal accessories.

Royal Selangor recently launched its Spring 2011 collections comprising children’s gifts, portable tea caddies along with desk, cigar and wine accessories. The collection is now available at the Royal Selangor Suria KLCC store and other outlets. For more information, log on to www.royalselangor.com.
