The 12th edition of the Malaysian Rally will take place on the 28th to 30th October. This will be the second time the event will be held in October and it is usually a very wet and muddy time of the year in Johor.
Johor, the southern gateway and third largest state in Peninsular Malaysia is the keeper of many national and natural treasures untold. It is a delightful mixture of the traditional and modern, and natural and ultra-modern urban jungles has been the venue of the event since 2004.
Similar stages as last year, the 2 day event covers 227km of competitive highspeed rallying stages divided into 14 special stages around the Tai Tuck estates around Kota Tinggi. The competitors will cover a total of 572km during the course of the event. The stages has a reputation of biting back amidst its stunning scenery and has over the years caught out even the experience competitors.
The rally stages around Kota Tinggi is arguably the best palm oil rally stages in country. Fast and flowing roads all the way through with countless junctions, hidden crest, spiced up with high humidity is a real test for the competitors and over the years we have seen the latest specification rally cars and the world’s best drivers blasting through the estates.
