Tourism Malaysia Launches “Fly Borneo Specials Vol.2 – More Adventure Awaits You!”

 


GEORGE TOWN, 23 July 2024 - Tourism Malaysia, in collaboration with Malaysia Aviation Group and Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Berhad (Bank Rakyat), launched the latest tourism package - “Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2 – More Adventure Awaits You!” as part of its vigorous efforts in promoting interstate travel to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan via airlines partners Firefly and MASwings.


The "Fly Borneo Specials Vol. 2" brochure features an impressive collection of 113 thematic packages curated by 61 tour operators from Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. These packages cater to a variety of interests, offering an enticing blend of stunning natural landscapes, diverse flora and fauna, adventure activities, rich cultural experiences and gastronomy.


All packages are bundled with airfare and ground tours at incredibly affordable prices. To make Borneo travel even more accessible, Malaysia Aviation Group offers a 40% discount on airfare through Firefly and MASwings. Additionally, Bank Rakyat provides a 0% interest payment scheme for package purchases using its credit card and terminal, allowing travellers to enjoy their seamless dream Borneo vacations.


The launch ceremony was graced by Dato' Yeoh Soon Hin, Deputy Chairman of Tourism Malaysia and attended by Mr Ooi Chok Yan, Chief Executive Officer, Penang Global Tourism; Ms Nurmalis Musa, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Perak; Mr Mahzan Mat Salleh, Global Sales Manager for Sabah and Labuan; Mr Dinie Fitri Ridzwan, Business Acquiring Manager, Bank Rakyat; Ms Barbara Benjamin Atan, Director of Marketing (Domestic and ASEAN), Sarawak Tourism Board; Mr Mahathir Abdul Hamid, Director of Tourism, Culture and Arts Department, Perbadanan Labuan, and Ms Zarinah Haji Amiludin, Marketing Manager, Sabah Tourism Board.


A dedicated Business to Business (B2B) session was held in conjunction with the launch, bringing together 25 key tourism industry players from Borneo and the Northern Region. This platform fostered valuable networking opportunities and showcased the latest products and attractions in Borneo.
