12 New Agrotourism Packages Launched At MAHA 2016

SERDANG, Dec 8 (Bernama) -- Tourism Malaysia has introduced 12 new agrotourism packages in conjunction with the 11-day Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism (MAHA) 2016 show which ends this Sunday.

The packages, launched by Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Deputy Minister, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, here, today are aimed at promoting agrotourism products that have high potential but are not very popular with domestic tourists.

According to a statement issued to the media, the new agrotourism packages are additional to the existing packages in the country.

The packages include the Gaharu Tea Valley in Gopeng, Perak; Warisan Igrow Complex, Kampung Gajah, Perak; Sahom Valley and Eco Resort, Kampar, Perak; UK Farm, Kluang, Johor; and AS Equestrian Centre, Lenggeng and Cape Cavallo in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.


Also introduced were the Setiu Farmers Agro Resort in Setiu, Terengganu; Desa Fruit Farm, Kota Tinggi, Johor; Juasseh Agro Park, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan; Titi Eco Farm Resort, Negeri Sembilan; Sabah Tea Resort, Ranau; and Melaka Tropical Fruit Farm in Sungai Udang, Melaka.

At the event, Tajuddin also handed out certificates to the 12 operators involved in offering these packages.
