PETALING JAYA: AirAsia will launch daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata starting March 25.
At present, the low-cost airline offers flights to Kolkata only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, said its chief group commercial flight officer Siegtraund Teh.
In conjunction with the launch of the daily flights, he said that AirAsia would offer a promotional, all-in fare from as low as RM199 (one way) from Kuala Lumpur to Kolkata. Bookings, which can be done online at airasia.com and mobile apps, are open from now till March 3 for travel from March 1 to 31.
The Kuala Lumpur Kolkata flights will be available once daily, departing at 3.35pm. The additional flights were in view of the good response for the Kuala Lumpur-Kolkata route which sees an average load of 80%, Teh said in a statement yesterday.
