KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 (Bernama) -- Firefly Holiday, a subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) was launched in Berlin Wednesday, upon the opening of Malaysia's booth at ITB Berlin, the world's largest tourism trade fair. Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen launched Firefly Holiday, Malaysia's first full-fledged travel portal, offering worldwide packages with a "Do-It-Yourself" feature. "Firefly Holiday is ideal for general travellers as it offers convenience from the time of booking to the point of arrival at preferred destinations.
"It provides tour operators one touch point of arrival for all-in-one ground arrangements," said Dr Ng in a statement on Thursday. To date, Firefly Holiday has expanded its services to more than 100 MAS' worldwide destinations via its international holiday packages. The Firefly Holiday international packages also complement the services offered by Firefly under a code-sharing agreement with MAS, the statement said. "Through this, the travel portal can pair up its ground packages with international flights," it added.
