Hilton Worldwide and DoubleTree by Hilton
have appointed Simon McGrath general manager of the DoubleTree by Hilton Johor
Bahru, which is slated to open in July.
McGrath brings over 30 years’ experience in
the international hospitality industry to his new position, having held several
senior management roles in well-known hospitality brands.
He played a crucial role in the rebranding of
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Phuket - Surin Beach in Thailand.
The
hospitality veteran has also worked in Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu,
Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, and was the vice president of Tourism
Accommodation Australia between 2011 and 2012.
