TRAVELLERS who are frequent flyers now have a new avenue to enjoy exclusive benefits.

Malaysia Airlines has launched Enrich Hotels, an online platform designed to enhance rewards under its Enrich frequent flyer programme.

In addition to existing benefits and privileges such as redeeming miles for flights, vouchers, lounge access, priority check-in and travel assistance, the Enrich Hotels platform sees national carrier partnering with more than 400,000 properties worldwide.

They include boutique hotels and international resorts where Enrich members can choose how they want to be rewarded, either by earning additional Enrich miles for every night of their stay or by redeeming their Enrich miles for free or discounted accommodation

With Encrich Hotels, travelling as an Enrich member with Malaysia Airlines now brings the added privilege of discounted or free hotel stays depending on the number of miles accrued, beyond the stable of treats and preferential treatment.

“We are creating more ways to maximise Enrich members’ travel and lifestyle experiences and so with this Enrich Hotels platform at www.enrichhotels.com, our members can earn Enrich miles for hotel bookings and also use their miles for free stays as well as free flights on Malaysia Airlines, ” said Malaysia Airlines group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May during the launch at Serai restaurant in Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya.

As self-booking is becoming increasingly popular, added Lau, the Enrich Hotels platform served to drive usage and loyalty among Malaysia Airlines’ frequent flyers.

Its Enrich and Loyalty head Amiroel Shazrie Yussof elaborated on how the programme’s investment in digitalisation was bringing more benefits to members.

Travellers looking for great deals and promotions could check the booking platform for their next vacation, while Enrich members who have made bookings on enrichhotels.com from now until Dec 31 are automatically eligible to enter the contest and stand a chance to earn 10,000 Enrich miles.

Enrich miles in varying amounts were given away as lucky draw prizes during the launch.

Some also walked away with hotel vouchers worth US$200 and US$400 (RM833 and RM1665).

The new offering supplements the recently launched Fly Malaysia campaign by the airline in an effort to boost tourism in conjunction with Visit Malaysia 2020.

While Enrich frequent flyers get to enjoy these bonus hotel-related benefits under Enrich Hotels, travellers who have yet to register as Enrich members can enjoy these benefits and privileges by signing up for free at www.malaysiaairlines.com

Additionally, the Enrich programme also counts airlines such as MASWings, Firefly, Emirates and Etihad as partners.
