The Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC) has announced the appointment of Mr. Zulkifly Md Said as the new Director-General of the Centre with effect from 2 December 2013.
Zulkifly holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in
Management and Marketing from Westmar College Le Mars Iowa, USA.
He has served Tourism Malaysia for 25 years before being seconded to ITC.
Zulkifly’s work experience at Tourism Malaysia includes as Director of
Research, Finance & Management Services, Industry Development and
International Promotion Divisions. He has also served at Tourism Malaysia's
Northern Region office in Penang and Tourism Malaysia’s overseas offices in
Hong Kong, Bangkok and Istanbul.
Prior to joining ITC, Zulkifly held the position of Director of International
Promotion for Tourism Malaysia’s South Asia/West Asia/Africa division. In
addition, he has also presented several papers at various international
seminars and conferences, including the ITC organised MTCP Training Course
On “How To Successfully Develop and Promote Islamic Travel & Tourism
Destination” in 2012.
Zulkifly replaces Tuan Haji Abdul Rahman Shaari as the Director-General of
ITC who has retired after 29 years in service.
