NUSAJAYA: LEGOLAND Malaysia recently introduced a new attraction --  the Ribena Berry model.
The icon, which represents the Ribena drink, was created with 17,188 Lego bricks and weighs 80kg. It took 50 people, including two designers, two months to complete.
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) marketing head Pang Koon Yin said the model was created with the aim of bringing Ribena closer to customers, the majority of whom are families.
"Besides promoting Ribena, the building of the model is another part of the partnership between GSK and Legoland which started last year. "Before this, the Ribena Berry Lego model has been brought to several places in the Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur and is now stopping here," she said the Jungle Cafe, here.
Pang said Legoland was chosen as one of the pit stops because of its popularity among local and international tourists.
Legoland Malaysia sales and marketing director M. Thila said the theme park was honoured to have the model there. "As an international theme park, we are constantly looking for opportunities to build more partnerships with businesses and to add to our activities which will make our customers' visits more eventful," she said.
The model is placed in front of the Jungle Cafe and visitors are encouraged to take pictures as mementoes.
