2013 F1 tickets now available at Suria KLCC and Sunway Pyramid

Tickets for the 2013 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix are now available for immediate purchase at Suria KLCC and Sunway Pyramid as the roadshow begins today (15 Feb).

Located at Ampang Rotunda, Ground Floor (AR-G), Suria KLCC, the ticket booth is now open for 30 consecutive days until March 15.

“The booth will operate from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm daily throughout its 30 days of operations. Suria KLCC was selected as one of the main locations because it is easily accessible and convenient for tourists and city folks,” says Dato’ Razlan Razali, the Chief Executive Officer of Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

To cater the large crowd from Petaling Jaya area, SIC ticket booth will also be made available at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall this time around. “We received a lot of inquiry emails to have our ticket booth within the PJ area, hence, we have chosen Sunway Pyramid as the first location of our roadshow this year,” added Dato’ Razlan.

To add to the F1 fever and excitement, SIC are presenting 11 historical PETRONAS F1 cars from 1999 and high-tech simulators for our nationwide contest. Just by purchasing an F1 ticket or merchandise during our roadshow, fans can participate in the simulator contest and win a Proton Satria Neo R3. The final round of this contest will be held at SIC during the F1 weekend.

The ticket booth in Sunway Pyramid is situated at the Orange Concourse of the mall and operates from 10 am to 10 pm daily until February 27. Apart from that, fans also should not miss a chance to get the F1 Official Merchandise and at the same time, the opportunity to see 11 units of F1 racing cars that will be displayed during this 13-day road show.

Sepang will host Round 2 of an unprecedented 20-leg 2013 Formula 1 World Championship from March 22 to 24. The new season would open with the Australian Grand Prix on the preceding weekend at Albert Park in Melbourne.

The price of the tickets are as low as RM63 for seats at the open Hillstands for the entire three days; making the F1 race in Sepang as the most affordable tickets as compared to other F1 venues. This is in line with SIC objectives to make the 2013 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix as affordable and accessible for all. Fans with any Grandstand ticket can also stay on for the after-race concert on Sunday, which will feature the international rock legend, Guns N Roses.

“The response to the promotions so far has been great. I look forward to see a good crowd in Sepang for this upcoming March as we have our special One Ticket Unlimited (1TU) program. It is going to be exciting this year as we celebrate the 15th years of F1 in Malaysia with various activities that will be held in town and at the circuit. With our nationwide promotions, I hope more fans will be able to grab this chance to buy their tickets early and enjoy the 1TU discounts by logging on to oneticket.com.my” added Dato’ Razlan.
