Ambang Merdeka Celebration @ Resort World Genting

One of the chief events of the year, the Ambang Merdeka Celebration, will be held at Genting Outdoor Theme Park on 30/08/2012 to commemorate the 55th year of our nation's independence from the British colonial empire. The festivities will begin on the eve of National Day with a school marching band and wacky clowns pumped up to entertain all night long. A myriad of other entertaining performances will also be held at the Merdeka Stage such as Cultural Dance, Magician Performance, Singing Performance, Brass Band etc. To top it all off, locally-renowned comedian – Helmi the Gimmick – will be the host for the event. The excitement will culminate in the highlight of the night that will literally explode! Joyous revelers will be treated to a spectacular fireworks display, lighting up the sky with intricate swirls and starbursts of multi-coloured sparks in what can only be described as a magnificent feat of pyrotechnics. So, let us come together to commemorate our nation's independance with a night of wholesome fun and non-stop entertainment! Free entrance to the Outdoor Theme Park will be available from 7pm onwards.
