LEGOLAND® Malaysia Gives Families Easter Egg Hunt in Kranji Countryside with an Educational Twist!

Singapore, 4 April 2012 – LEGOLAND® Malaysia and Kranji Countryside Association today launched the inaugural Easter Egg Hunt to celebrate the start of the Easter festive period. The launch, held at GardenAsia, the home of century-old horticultural company Nyee Phoe Group, was attended by Madam Halimah Yacob, Minister of State for MCYS, Mr Siegfried Boerst, General Manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia, Mrs Ivy Singh-Lim, President of the Kranji Countryside Association, and more than 50 preschoolers from NTUC-linked childcare centre, My First Skool.

Today’s event marked the start of a campaign championed by LEGOLAND Malaysia and Kranji Countryside to promote the benefits of education through playful learning in the countryside through a three-week long (4 to 25 April 2012) educational Easter Egg Hunt, aimed at children of all ages and their families. The children from My First Skool were led by Madam Halimah Yacob as they hunted for colorful LEGO® eggs and learnt about gardening, botany and the great outdoors.

Over the course of the three weeks, eight lucky families who take part in the hunt will stand the chance to win annual passes to LEGOLAND Malaysia which will open at the end of 2012 in Johor, a 10-minute drive from the Tuas Checkpoint. This will be the sixth LEGOLAND to be built in the world and the very first in Asia. The park will feature more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions and will target families with children between the ages of two to twelve years old.
